Disputa épica contra Guilherme Rotheia foi decidida nos metros finais

No domingo 18 de setembro foi realizada mais uma etapa do The Kart Championship. E o Traçado 9 invertido do Kartódromo de Betim foi palco de uma vitória de mais um piloto inédito: Rodrigo Salvador aliou um ótimo ritmo e uma estratégia perfeita para derrotar Guilherme Rotheia.

Guilherme terminou em segundo e retomou a liderança do campeonato, empatado em pontos com Rogério Ferrum e Luiz Fernando Batman. Já no Ranking LP1, o piloto segue mais líder do que nunca.

Vitória no capricho!

Rodrigo Salvador largou da pole-position e foi superado pelo atual campeão na largada. Ficou um pouco distante mas não perdeu o líder de vista. Após os pitstops, Rodrigo saiu na frente, Guilherme reassumiu a ponta logo em seguida por estar com os pneus aquecidos, mas não sustentou até o fim.

“Fiquei um pouco na largada, o Guilherme abriu uma distância de uns 5 karts à frente mas consegui acompanhar. Minha única chance de ganhar era fazer o undercut, parar uma volta depois dele e fazer uma volta bem rápida, pois imaginei que ele estaria cauteloso para fazer o pitstop. Foi isso que fiz, passei no limite pro box fechar e fiz também a parada no limite, saí na frente mas ele me ultrapassou em pista. Consegui ficar junto, vi que meu kart tinha mais motor e fizemos a última volta daquele jeito, lado a lado nas curvas… Ele é um cara muito cordial, finalizei tipo 0,1 segundos à frente dele…”, comentou o vencedor em entrevista após a corrida. Destaques

No início houve muita disputa do 2º ao 9º colocado. Na segunda metade da corrida Milton Santos deixou os adversários pra trás e acompanhou Rodrigo e Guilherme na luta pela vitória. Acabou finalizando em terceiro lugar, colado nos dois.

Marcelo Augusto e Daniel Paixão completaram o pódio, os dois apresentaram um excelente ritmo de corrida. Daniel fez ainda a melhor volta da corrida, este foi o primeiro pódio dele no campeonato.

Desconsiderando o resultado dos convidados, o TOP10 foi completado por Lázaro Oliveira, Rogério Ferrum, Rodrigo Rotheia, Ramon Tancredo e Bruno Moura, nesta ordem. Dos 27 pilotos inscritos no campeonato, 19 deles já terminaram ao menos uma vez entre os 10 primeiros, o que mostra o equilíbrio da competição. O melhor pitstop da corrida foi de Luiz Fernando Batman, com incríveis 4:00.008. Um piscar de olhos seria o suficiente para o piloto estourar o tempo mínimo de parada.

Falando em convidados, a etapa contou com dois: Jonatas Kreuz, piloto de São Paulo, veio para Minas para correr em várias corridas do LP1 ao longo da semana. Mandou muito bem, finalizou a corrida em sexto lugar. José Ribeiro é piloto do Sport kart, e também não decepcionou ao terminar em 18º lugar, um bom resultado num campeonato tão difícil como o The kart.
